Privacy policy: jobgw

Who uses it: only its owner, Ravi Dhing (and, with her consent, his wife), on their own computer.

What it accesses: with the Google scope gmail.readonly, it reads job-alert emails (for example from LinkedIn, Naukri, IIMJobs and Hirist) in the user's own Gmail account. It cannot send, change or delete email.

What it stores: job details extracted from those emails, stored only in a local database on the user's computer. OAuth tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain.

AI processing: to score jobs and draft application documents for its owner, the app sends job details (title, company, location and job description, including jobs found in alert emails) to Anthropic's Claude API. Email addresses, message headers and any email content other than the job details are never sent. Anthropic processes this data only to return results to the app and does not use API data to train its models. Google user data is never used to train AI models.

Sharing: no data is sold. Apart from the AI processing above, no data is shared or transferred to anyone. The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access: remove the app at myaccount.google.com/permissions at any time.
